Waitlist
With many of our tamariki starting at least 6 months of age and staying until leaving for Primary school, Golden Kids has a low turn over of children, it is encouraged to get your name on our extensive waitlist early!
Enquiries can be made my emailing admin@goldenkids.co.nz
Once you are on the waitlist, it is a matter of waiting until your name is next in line. The Centre Manager will make contact at least 2 weeks in advance to confirm booking and times for settling visits. To ensure a smooth transition we offer 6 free settling visits.
We encourage you to then pop in and say hi, have a cuppa, have a wander around, and meet the team and officially enrol and meet your child’s Primary Caregiver.
Primary Care Giving
At Golden Kids we practice the Primary Caregiving and ‘Key Teacher’ system. This means that each child is assigned one teacher that over sees responsibility for their well being, caregiving moments and their learning and development during their time at the centre.
This system ensures that strong, secure and trusting reciprocal relationships are built between the tamariki, kaiako and whanau from 3 months right through to 5 years of age and into their transition to school.
Research shows that through these secure attachments tamariki develop the confidence to explore, resilience to cope well in different situations and develop the empowerment to ultimately reach their full potential and shine!
